Students of the University of Ibadan have staged a peaceful protest over the shutdown of essential services on campus, following the ongoing strike by the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU).
The protest, which took place within Ibadan, saw students demanding the immediate restoration of basic amenities such as electricity, water, and other critical services largely handled by non-academic staff.
Participants expressed frustration over the hardship caused by the industrial action, noting that the disruption has significantly affected their daily lives and academic activities.
The students are calling on the Federal Government to urgently engage with the striking union, address its demands, and bring an end to the ongoing impasse to restore normalcy on campus.
