Aston Villa produced a dominant and unforgettable performance to defeat SC Freiburg 3-0 in the UEFA Europa League final in Istanbul, clinching their first major trophy in 30 years and their first European silverware in 44 years.

Youri Tielemans opened the scoring with a thunderous volley just before halftime, finishing off a well-worked move with precision and power. Moments later, Emiliano Buendia doubled Villa’s lead with a brilliant curling strike from outside the box, leaving Freiburg stunned going into the break.

Morgan Rogers sealed the victory in the second half, calmly finishing off Buendia’s assist to complete a commanding display from Unai Emery’s side, who outclassed the German opponents from start to finish.

The triumph marks a historic milestone for Villa, ending decades of near misses and reinforcing Unai Emery’s reputation as one of the Europa League’s most successful managers, with his fifth title in the competition.
