The Federal Government has commenced the payment of outstanding 2025 allowances to Nigerian students benefiting from the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Programme in partner countries abroad.
According to the Federal Ministry of Education, the has successfully transferred the approved funds to Nigerian embassies and missions for immediate disbursement to eligible scholars.
Minister of Education said the released funds cover 50 percent of the approved outstanding obligations for 2025, while arrangements are ongoing to clear the remaining balance.
The minister disclosed that the funds have already reached embassy accounts and advised beneficiaries to monitor their accounts as payments begin to reflect.
Dr. Alausa said the move reflects the commitment of President to supporting the welfare and academic success of Nigerian students abroad under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Federal Government also reaffirmed its commitment to meeting its obligations to Nigerian scholars and strengthening policies that promote quality education, student welfare, and human capital development.
