Ronaldo Nets Brace as Al Nassr Clinch Saudi Pro League Title

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a match-winning performance on Thursday as he scored twice to help Al Nassr FC secure the Saudi Pro League title with a 4–1 victory over Damac, ending his long wait for domestic silverware in Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese superstar struck in the second half with a trademark free-kick before adding a close-range finish late in the game, sealing the victory that ensured Al Nassr edged out rivals Al Hilal by just two points.

Ronaldo, now 41, had not won a major club trophy since his Serie A triumph with Juventus in 2020 before joining Al Nassr in 2023. He was visibly emotional as he watched the closing moments of the match from the bench.

The forward adds the Saudi league title to an already decorated career that includes league championships in England, Spain, and Italy, as well as five UEFA Champions League titles.

Al Nassr had taken an early lead in the match, with Sadio Mané also on the scoresheet, before Ronaldo’s brace turned the game decisively in their favour.

The result crowns a dramatic season finale and marks a historic achievement for the club and its star forward.

Ronaldo, who remains the all-time leading scorer in men’s international football with 143 goals, is now expected to feature for Portugal at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
