West Ham United have been relegated from the Premier League after a 14-year stay in England’s top flight, following a dramatic final day of the 2025/2026 season.
Despite a commanding 3-0 win over Leeds United, the Hammers were condemned to the drop after Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Everton to survive by just two points.
Joao Paulinha’s first-half strike proved decisive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, sparking celebrations as Spurs avoided what would have been their first relegation since 1977.
West Ham’s efforts, including goals from Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson, proved too little too late as they finished below the safety line on a tense final day.
The result sees West Ham join Burnley and Wolves in the Championship, while Tottenham stage a dramatic escape under manager Roberto De Zerbi.
