Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Muslims in Lagos and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to uphold the values of sacrifice, peace, and unity.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor described the festival as a reminder of faith, patience, perseverance, and communal harmony.

Sanwo-Olu said Eid-el-Kabir reflects the devotion and steadfastness of Prophet Ibrahim, stressing that sacrifice remains essential not only for spiritual fulfilment but also for national development and societal progress.

He also appealed to Nigerians to promote unity and avoid actions capable of threatening the country’s peace and stability.

The governor further urged residents to support the Federal Government’s development agenda, noting that nation-building is a collective responsibility.
