Cardoso Reassigns CBN Deputy Governors, Ikeazor Takes Charge of Policy

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, has reassigned the responsibilities of all four deputy governors in a move aimed at aligning leadership roles with the bank’s evolving priorities.

Under the new arrangement, Philip Ikeazor now oversees the Economic Policy Directorate, while Muhammad Abdullahi moves to Corporate Services. Emem Nnana Usoro takes charge of Operations, and Lamido Yuguda will now supervise Financial System Stability.

The CBN said the redeployment is designed to leverage the experience of senior officials across key areas of responsibility.
