President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja following the Eid-el-Kabir holiday in Lagos, during which he undertook a series of political, governmental, and national engagements.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at approximately 5:17 p.m. He was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and other senior government officials.
During the holiday period, President Tinubu received Vice President Kashim Shettima and several groups on traditional Sallah homage visits, including members of the Senate leadership led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Also among those who paid homage were members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum under the leadership of its Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; APC stakeholders from Oyo State; as well as APC candidates from Lagos State.
On Monday, President Tinubu attended the International Fleet Review at the Eko Atlantic City Waterfront as part of activities commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Nigerian Navy. During the event, he commissioned three naval vessels: NNS Oloibiri, NNS Mambila, and NNS Gurara.
The President also held talks with the President of the Republic of Benin, His Excellency Romuald Wadagni, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and economic partnership between both nations.
Following his return to the Federal Capital Territory, President Tinubu is expected to resume official duties and continue consultations on key national matters.
