Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the sister of former Minister of Power and APC governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Bayo Adelabu, alongside her twin sons in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to family confirmation, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Challenge area of Ibadan South West Local Government Area, while she was on her way to drop the children at school. The victims were taken away by armed men around 7:30 a.m.
The family identified the victims as Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, 43, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.
Security agencies have reportedly been alerted and investigations have commenced, with efforts underway to secure their safe rescue.
The family has appealed for calm, prayers, and restraint from spreading unverified information, while urging anyone with useful information to assist security operatives.
