APC dismisses reports of changes to Adamawa primary election results

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has denied reports circulating on social media alleging that candidates linked to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri were replaced after the party’s recent primaries.

Reacting to the claims, the party’s spokesperson, Dogo Victor, described the reports as false and politically motivated attempts to sow discord within the party.

“There is nothing like that. Nobody has been replaced. The results of the primary elections remain exactly as they were declared,” Victor stated.

He maintained that the primaries were conducted in a free and fair manner, adding that some unsuccessful aspirants were behind efforts to create tension and disaffection within the party.

The reports had alleged that Dauda Nyampa, representing Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency, and James Barka, representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, were removed from the party’s list in Abuja despite emerging through the primary process.

Similar claims also suggested that Ramatu Bello was affected in the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency race.

The reports further alleged that associates of Nuhu Ribadu were working to sideline allies of Governor Fintiri ahead of the 2027 elections, while claiming that Nyesom Wike intervened in internal political arrangements involving Fintiri.

However, the APC dismissed all such allegations, insisting that no candidate substitutions had taken place and that the primary election results submitted from Adamawa remain valid and unchanged.

The party called on members and supporters to disregard unverified reports and remain focused on strengthening party unity ahead of future electoral contests.
