Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has linked the rising insecurity in the state to informants and a lack of adequate security personnel.
He stated this during a condolence visit to the Zogirma community in the Bunza Local Government Area, where armed men recently killed three mobile police officers.
The governor clarified that the perpetrators were neither Lakurawa nor known bandits, but criminals allegedly brought in by insiders from the community.
“These killers were not Lakurawa or bandits. They are thieves, invited by informants to steal the funds we provided for windstorm victims,” he said.
