Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has named Burna Boy as his number one artist in the country.
Speaking during an interview on Urban Radio, the Afrobeats pioneer praised Burna Boy’s talent, consistency, and overall impact on the current music landscape.
“Personally, Burna Boy is my number one right now,” 2Baba stated. “There are many hard-working and talented artistes, but Burna stands out. He’s the senior among the new generation doing it big.”
While acknowledging the contributions of other stars like Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Asake, Olamide, and Adekunle Gold, 2Baba emphasized that Burna Boy’s artistry resonates with him the most at this time.
His remarks come shortly after his timeless hit African Queen was ranked by Billboard as the greatest Afrobeats song of all time.
