Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather set for potential exhibition fight in 2026

Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have reportedly agreed to a potential exhibition match scheduled for spring 2026, according to an announcement by promoter CSI Sports on Thursday.

While an exact date and venue have yet to be confirmed, CSI revealed that the two iconic fighters are preparing to face off in what could be one of the most highly anticipated exhibition bouts in recent years.

Tyson, now 59, boasts a career record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) and 7 losses. Widely regarded as one of the most intimidating heavyweights of his era, Tyson last stepped into the ring in November 2024, when he suffered a one-sided defeat to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Arlington, Texas. Despite struggling to land significant punches, the event drew a crowd of roughly 70,000 and millions more watched globally.

Mayweather, 48, retired from professional boxing in 2017 with a flawless 50-0 record, having claimed world titles in five different weight divisions. Since retiring, he has continued to participate in high-profile exhibition bouts, including a win over John Gotti III in Mexico in August 2024.

Commenting on the upcoming fight, Tyson said in a statement released by CSI:
“When CSI approached me about facing Floyd Mayweather, I thought, ‘No way this happens.’ But Floyd said yes. This is a fight neither I nor the world expected. Boxing is entering a new era—one defined by the unexpected—and this matchup fits right in.”
