The Federal Government’s closed-door meeting with NUPENG, Dangote Group, and key labour stakeholders has ended in a deadlock, failing to resolve the brewing industrial dispute.
The meeting, led by Labour Minister Mohammed Dingyadi and Minister of State Nkiruka Onyejeocha, aimed to prevent the planned strike by NUPENG over alleged anti-union practices at Dangote Refinery.
In attendance were top executives of NUPENG, NLC, TUC, representatives of the Dangote Group, MRS Petroleum, and the NMDPRA.
Despite hours of deliberation, no resolution was reached, raising concerns over possible fuel supply disruptions if NUPENG proceeds with its strike action.
Further negotiations are expected.
