The South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) has firmly denied reports suggesting it called for the resignation of Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun.
In a statement signed by Rep. Bosun Oladele, SWAGA’s National Secretary, the group described the claim as false, mischievous, and a plot by opposition elements to discredit both the Minister and President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
SWAGA distanced itself from a social media post allegedly made by one Otunba Adedayo Adewole, who claimed to be the “President of SWAGA.” The group clarified that no such position exists in its structure and labelled the statement a “devilish fabrication.”
The group reaffirmed its support for Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as necessary steps in stabilising Nigeria’s economy despite ongoing challenges.
