Dembélé edges Yamal to clinch 2025 Ballon d’Or

France and PSG star, Ousmane Dembélé, has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, marking a remarkable comeback in his career.

The award was presented at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, where Dembélé, 28, edged out Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal to claim football’s most prestigious individual honour.

His move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain proved pivotal, as he delivered a season of outstanding performances, leaving behind years of injury struggles.

Dembélé now succeeds Rodri, who claimed the prize in 2024.
