Reps assure nigerians of swift passage of constitutional amendment bill

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has assured Nigerians of the speedy passage of the constitutional amendment bill currently under review.

Speaking at the National Public Hearing on the review of the 1999 Constitution held in Abuja on Monday, Abbas pledged that the 10th Assembly would do everything possible to successfully amend the constitution, unlike previous failed attempts.

He applauded citizens for actively participating in the process, noting that their voices and contributions would be taken seriously.

“As Speaker, I pledge that we will consider the bills with diligence, fairness, and urgency,” he said.

He also emphasized collaboration with state assemblies and the executive, adding that the process would positively impact all sectors of Nigerian society
