The 2026 Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Media Games will take place from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the Agege Stadium and the NUJ Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Chairman of the 2026 NUJ Media Games Sports Committee, Ayo Ojedokun, disclosed this at a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat, Ikeja, noting that the competition is aimed at helping journalists unwind from the demands of newsroom activities while promoting fitness, healthy living and recreation.

He also invited more corporate organisations to partner with the Games, urging businesses to use the event as an opportunity to showcase and promote their products and services.
The press conference featured the unveiling of the official Games logo and the draw for the football competition.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the NUJ Lagos Council, Adeleye Ajayi, said the Media Games had come to stay, expressing the Council’s excitement about organising the annual sporting event. He commended the sponsors for supporting the initiative and contributing to the physical and mental well-being of journalists.
