Air Peace and Etihad Airways have signed an interline agreement to improve connectivity across Nigeria and West and Central Africa, giving passengers access to more destinations through a single ticket.
The partnership will connect 20 destinations across Nigeria and the region, allowing Etihad passengers to seamlessly travel beyond Lagos and Accra to cities including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Benin City, Owerri, Warri, Asaba, Abidjan, Dakar, Banjul, Freetown, Monrovia, Conakry, Bamako, Douala and Libreville.
Under the agreement, Air Peace passengers will also be able to connect to Abu Dhabi on Etihad’s Lagos and Accra services once the new routes commence.
The airlines said the deal supports Etihad’s African expansion strategy and will strengthen travel, trade and business links between Nigeria, West Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Etihad’s Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer, Arik De, described Nigeria as central to the airline’s long-term African ambitions, while Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, said the partnership would provide customers with greater travel convenience and expanded international access.
The agreement marks another milestone in Air Peace’s international expansion strategy, following recent partnerships with Turkish Airlines and Emirates to enhance global connectivity for Nigerian travellers.
