Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, have been arrested in Miami by the United States Marshals Service following a request from UK authorities seeking their extradition.
The arrests come as the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced new charges against the brothers, including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault, and offences relating to indecent images of a child.
According to the CPS, the brothers face a total of 59 criminal charges—42 against Andrew Tate and 17 against Tristan Tate. Prosecutors said the additional charges followed new evidence obtained from Bedfordshire Police, increasing the number of alleged victims in the case to seven.
Authorities in the UK are also investigating the brothers over separate allegations of rape, human trafficking, tax evasion, and money laundering.
The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrests but declined to disclose the specific charges contained in the sealed arrest warrant. UK prosecutors have formally requested the brothers’ extradition to face trial.
The Tate brothers’ lawyer, Joseph McBride, maintained their innocence, expressing confidence they would be cleared of all allegations.
Andrew and Tristan Tate, who hold dual British and American citizenship, are also facing separate criminal investigations in Romania over allegations including human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual offences involving a minor, and money laundering.
