The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Bauchi State has held a strategic stakeholders’ meeting with candidates, party leaders and other key members ahead of the August 17, 2026, local government elections.
The meeting was attended by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and focused on strengthening the party’s campaign strategy, improving coordination among members and mobilising grassroots support for APM candidates across the state’s 20 local government areas.
Addressing participants, the Bauchi State Chairman of the APM, Auwal Isah, urged candidates and party members to step up efforts to promote the party, its programmes and its candidates ahead of the polls.
Isah stressed that the commitment and mobilisation efforts of party members would be crucial to securing victory in the forthcoming elections. He also noted that success at the local government level would provide a strong foundation for the party’s activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of the Local Government Election Supervisory and Monitoring Committee, constituted by Governor Mohammed and Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman, also urged party stakeholders to intensify their mobilisation efforts within their respective communities.
Sulaiman emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation and shared commitment among party members, noting that a coordinated and united structure would strengthen the APM’s chances at the polls.
The gathering formed part of the party’s broader preparations for the local government elections, with emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, effective coordination and stronger engagement with voters across Bauchi State.
The APM leadership said the meeting was also aimed at consolidating the party’s structures and building momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
