The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has charged soldiers graduating from the Nigerian Army’s Advanced Infantry Training Programme to uphold professionalism, discipline and operational excellence as they assume duties in newly established divisions, formations and units across the country.
Shaibu gave the charge on Friday during the graduation ceremony of Exercise RESTORE HOPE X at the Nigerian Army Training Centre (NATC), Kachia, Kaduna State.
The Army Chief described the exercise as a vital component of the Nigerian Army’s post-basic infantry training programme, aimed at enhancing combat proficiency, strengthening the warrior ethos and preparing troops to effectively tackle Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.
He urged the graduating soldiers to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training with courage, integrity and dedication, while remaining committed to the Army’s core values in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
According to the COAS, continuous training and capacity building remain central to the Nigerian Army’s efforts to improve operational effectiveness and ensure troops are adequately prepared to address emerging security threats nationwide.
