Arsenal have been crowned 2026 Community Shield champions after cruising to a convincing 3–0 victory over Manchester City at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Riccardo Calafiori gave the Gunners a dream start, scoring just 23 seconds into the match. Kai Havertz doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 28th minute before captain Martin Ødegaard completed the rout shortly after the restart.
Arsenal controlled the contest for long periods and kept a clean sheet to secure their first silverware of the new season, while the defeat marked a difficult competitive debut for Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca.
The victory gives Mikel Arteta’s side an early boost as they begin their campaign as reigning Premier League champions.
