The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru, has brokered peace among rival factions of the party, bringing an end to the leadership crisis that had divided the state chapter.
The reconciliation meeting, held in Kaduna, brought together factional chairmen, party executives and key stakeholders, who agreed to work together in strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after the meeting, party leader Elder Patrick Ambut described the reconciliation as a major milestone, commending Ashiru for uniting members and restoring stability within the party.
Other party leaders, including Tijjani Mustapha and Ben Bako, confirmed that the leadership dispute had been resolved, adding that outstanding legal issues would also be addressed as part of the reconciliation process.
The resolution is expected to boost internal unity within the Kaduna ADC and improve the party’s preparedness for future political activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
