Big Brother Naija has introduced its first major twist of the season, unveiling “The Gambit”, a new game feature that guarantees two housemates a place in the grand finale but disqualifies them from winning the ₦160 million grand prize.
The surprise twist was announced during Monday’s live session with the housemates and shared across the show’s official social media platforms.
Under the new format, viewers will vote to select one male and one female housemate to become The Gambits. Those chosen will enjoy immunity from eviction until the final week of the competition but will automatically lose the opportunity to compete for the record-breaking cash prize.
Organisers also confirmed that there will be no eviction this week, as voting is now focused on selecting the two Gambits.
Explaining the twist, Biggie said the role offers contestants guaranteed longevity in the house but comes with a significant sacrifice.
Despite being ineligible to win the grand prize, the selected housemates will remain active participants, taking part in all tasks, nominations and other activities throughout the competition.
Current Head of House, Chimsom Chuka, is excluded from this week’s Gambit selection process.
