The Nigeria Police have arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), following a court-issued bench warrant.
Adeyemi was apprehended in Osun State, shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered his arrest over his failure to appear for arraignment.
The arrest comes after the court directed law enforcement agencies to produce Adeyemi before it to answer charges against him.
Authorities have described the PFIPC as a non-existent organisation, with Adeyemi allegedly presenting himself as its Director-General.
