The Lagos State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of the Chairman of the Lagos State Joint Negotiating Council (JNC), Comrade Domingo Michael Adeleke.
Comrade Domingo passed away on Monday, 8th June 2026, following a brief illness during the ongoing 114th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
He served as Chairman of the Lagos State Joint Negotiating Council (JNC) and was part of the Lagos State delegation to the International Labour Conference.
The Head of Service described the late labour leader as a dedicated and committed unionist who devoted his career to advancing the welfare, rights, and interests of workers.
The Lagos State Government has confirmed that arrangements are underway to repatriate his remains to Nigeria.
The Government prays that Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and comforts his family, colleagues, and loved ones during this difficult time.
His legacy of selfless service and unwavering commitment to workers’ welfare will continue to inspire generations to come.
