Afrobeats superstar Davido has gifted fellow singer and former record label signee Mayorkun a brand-new Tesla Cybertruck, reaffirming their long-standing friendship.
The “Unavailable” hitmaker announced the surprise gift on his Instagram Story, sharing a photo of the luxury electric vehicle alongside a heartfelt message to Mayorkun.
“My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun,” Davido wrote, while instructing an associate to ensure the vehicle was delivered.
The Tesla Cybertruck, known for its futuristic stainless steel design and all-electric performance, retails in the United States for between $69,990 and $99,990, depending on the model. In Nigeria, the vehicle is estimated to cost between ₦200 million and ₦340 million after import duties and other associated costs.
Mayorkun, who was signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016 before launching his independent career in 2021, has continued to enjoy a close relationship with Davido, with both artistes frequently expressing mutual admiration and support.
