Dubai International Airport (DXB) is introducing advanced security screening technology aimed at making the passenger clearance process faster, smoother and more convenient for travellers.
Under the upgraded screening system, passengers will no longer routinely be required to remove items such as laptops, liquids, shoes and belts during security checks. The technology is being deployed across the airport as part of an ongoing programme to modernise its security and improve the overall passenger experience.
Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths said the airport was continuously investing in innovative security technology to make travel more seamless. He noted that the traditional process of removing belts, shoes and other personal items during screening was gradually becoming a thing of the past.
The upgraded systems are expected to reduce the inconvenience associated with conventional security checks while maintaining high safety and security standards at one of the world’s busiest international airports.
