Etihad Airways has announced plans to resume flight operations to Nigeria, with daily services to Lagos scheduled to begin between March 24 and 27, 2027.
The announcement was made during a meeting between the airline’s delegation and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in Abuja. The UAE national carrier also confirmed a codeshare partnership with Air Peace and said it will operate the route using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Welcoming the airline’s return, Keyamo described the move as a boost for Nigeria’s aviation sector and urged Etihad to consider extending its operations to Abuja to serve growing passenger demand from northern Nigeria.
