The Federal Government has assured staff of King’s College, Lagos, that no worker will be dismissed over the controversy surrounding the proposed management arrangement involving the school’s Old Boys Association.
The assurance was given following a meeting between the Federal Ministry of Education, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other stakeholders to address concerns raised over the proposed arrangement.
At the meeting, a seven-member committee was constituted to review the outstanding issues and make recommendations towards resolving the dispute.
Meanwhile, the industrial action earlier directed by the labour centre has been suspended, paving the way for continued academic and administrative activities at the institution.
