The Federal Government has assured federal civil servants that payment of the outstanding N35,000 wage award arrearswill begin before August 15, with the release of funds now at the final stage of approval.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, said the government is also processing outstanding promotion arrears, reaffirming the Tinubu administration’s commitment to fulfilling agreements reached with organised labour.
The government added that efforts are underway to resolve other pending workers’ welfare issues through continued dialogue and collaboration with labour unions.
