The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) says it has cleared over N12 billion in inherited debt and remitted N3 billion into the Federal Government’s Consolidated Revenue Fund under the current management.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Oyetunde Ojo, disclosed that the agency achieved the financial turnaround through the digitalisation of its operations, improved revenue generation and internal reforms without relying on government funding.
Ojo said the authority has also cleared promotion backlogs, improved staff welfare, expanded training opportunities and plans to commission about 400 affordable housing units in Bwari, Abuja, before the end of the year.
