Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2030, extending his stay with the Premier League champions.

The contract extension comes despite a disappointing summer for the midfielder, who was surprisingly omitted from England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by head coach Thomas Tuchel. The decision was reportedly based on form, tactical considerations, and squad balance rather than injury.
