A former student midwife, Mariam Afinowi, has donated a new Cardiotocography (CTG) machine and several fetal Dopplers to Randle General Hospital, Lagos, to strengthen maternal and newborn care.
The hospital’s Medical Director/CEO, Dr. Lateefat Omolara Agbaje, commended Afinowi for returning to the institution where she trained and giving back to support improved maternity services.
The donated equipment will assist healthcare professionals in monitoring fetal well-being and making timely clinical decisions. Afinowi also offered to support staff training on the proper use of the equipment.
The gesture highlights the lasting impact of quality training, professional commitment and giving back to the institutions that help shape healthcare professionals.
