Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, attended the Jumat Service marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day at the Lagos State Secretariat Community Central Mosque in Alausa, Ikeja.
The service provided an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey as a nation, the progress made so far and the work that still lies ahead.
Hamzat joined the Muslim community in prayer and fellowship, while reaffirming his commitment to listening to the people and working with them towards a Lagos where everyone can look ahead with confidence.
He also expressed appreciation to the spiritual leaders and elders for their warm reception, prayers and continued guidance.
