The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has inaugurated sub-committees for the 67th Regular National Council on Health (NCH), urging members to uphold diligence, integrity, professionalism and objectivity in carrying out their responsibilities.
The 67th NCH is scheduled to take place from November 16 to 20, 2026, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, under the theme: “From Commitment to Results: Delivering Quality and Equitable Healthcare for All Nigerians.”
Speaking at the inaugural meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, represented by the Director of Health Planning, Research and Statistics, Dr John Ovuoraye, described the National Council on Health as a vital platform for coordination, policy dialogue and decision-making in Nigeria’s health sector.
He urged members of the sub-committees to approach their assignments with professionalism and a strong commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the country.
