United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported a Nigerian national, Olatunde Abiodun Olusanjo, following multiple convictions for sexual offences in the country.
According to U.S. immigration authorities, Olusanjo was removed from the United States after serving sentences related to the offences and completing the legal processes required for his deportation.
ICE stated that the deportation forms part of its ongoing efforts to remove non-citizens convicted of serious crimes, particularly offences that pose threats to public safety and community security.
Authorities noted that individuals found guilty of serious criminal offences, including sexual crimes, may face removal proceedings under U.S. immigration laws upon completion of their prison terms.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing immigration laws and ensuring that foreign nationals convicted of serious offences are held accountable in accordance with legal procedures.
