The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, is set to officially launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in Abuja.
The initiative is part of efforts by the Police to strengthen technology-driven policing, improve communication and enhance operational efficiency across the Force.
The NPF Vigilant App is designed to improve engagement, information sharing and communication between the Police and members of the public, while the MTN CUG Network will provide a dedicated platform for seamless communication among police personnel.
The launch highlights the Force’s commitment to leveraging technology and strategic partnerships to strengthen internal coordination and deliver more responsive, efficient and people-centred security services to Nigerians.
