The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has advised Nigerians who have relocated to transfer their voter registration instead of registering again ahead of the close of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The commission said eligible voters can apply for a Transfer of Registration at any CVR centre or through its online self-service portal to vote at a polling unit closer to their new residence. INEC also reminded citizens that the CVR exercise ends on July 26, 2026, urging all eligible voters to complete their registration, transfer, or data update before the deadline.
