The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned Nigerians against a fake website claiming that a nationwide online voter registration exercise is currently underway.
INEC said the platform is not affiliated with the commission and urged Nigerians not to click on it or submit personal information, warning that such details could be misused.
The electoral body clarified that the 2025–2026 Continuous Voter Registration exercise has ended. Its official portal currently confirms that voter registration is not active.
INEC advised the public to verify electoral information through its official communication channels and remain vigilant against fraudulent platforms.
