Inter Miami have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro on a free transfer, reuniting the former Real Madrid star with Argentine captain Lionel Messi in Major League Soccer.
The club confirmed that the 34-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the 2027 season, with an option to extend the deal until June 2029. He will be eligible to play once his work visa process is completed.
Casemiro joins Inter Miami after leaving Manchester United at the expiration of his contract last season. He is expected to wear the club’s No. 5 jersey.
The move sees the Brazilian team up with former Barcelona legend Messi, years after the pair were fierce rivals in El Clásico clashes between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
