The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced registration for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes and non-technological National Diploma (ND) agriculture-related courses without requiring them to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB said eligible candidates with the required O’Level credits can register at designated Institutional Professional Registration Centres in Colleges of Education or any JAMB Professional Registration Centre nationwide.
The Board also announced that candidates who wrote the 2026 UTME but wish to switch to NCE or eligible agricultural ND programmes can convert their applications free of charge.
The policy follows the Federal Government’s decision to exempt applicants to these programmes from the UTME, with the aim of expanding access to teacher education and agriculture-related courses while maintaining academic standards through JAMB’s screening and verification process.
