The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise and commenced the ranking of candidates for the admission process.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through the Board’s approved channels.
According to JAMB, the release of the results concludes the examination phase and signals the beginning of candidate ranking for admission into tertiary institutions across the country. The Board also disclosed that the printing of result slips for admission processing is expected to begin before the end of the week.
The mop-up examination, held on June 13, 2026, was organized for candidates who were successfully verified during the main UTME but could not sit for the examination due to technical issues, biometric verification challenges, or other disruptions at their designated centres.
JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, and stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the examination process.
The Board had earlier retained the minimum admission benchmark at 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics, while also opening its portal for candidates seeking to change their course of study or institution.
