Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Joke Sanwo-Olu, has visited senior citizens in Badagry as part of an ongoing state-wide outreach aimed at supporting and appreciating elderly residents across Lagos.
The Badagry outreach covered Ori-Ade, Amuwo-Odofin and Ojo, reaching about 150 beneficiaries. The initiative, which has now covered Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Epe and Badagry, is designed to provide financial support while promoting love, respect and care for senior citizens.
Joke Sanwo-Olu, who personally joined the visitation for the first time since the initiative began more than four years ago, said the gesture was driven by compassion rather than politics. She also urged families and communities to continue providing care and companionship for elderly residents.
Following the outreach, she paid homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladele Idris Kosoko, Ogundeyi II, the Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, at the Iworo Central Palace.
