The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has recorded another political development in Kaduna State following the resignation of one of its prominent members and former governorship aspirants, Muhammad Bello, popularly known as Mainan Zazzau.
In a resignation letter dated July 21, 2026, and addressed to the ADC Chairman of Dogarawa Ward in Sabon Gari Local Government Area, Bello announced that he was leaving the party with immediate effect.
The former Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, however, did not state the reasons for his decision. He expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership and members for the cordial relationship enjoyed during his time in the ADC and wished the party success in its future political engagements.
Copies of the resignation letter were also forwarded to the ADC National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee, the Kaduna State Executive Committee, and the Sabon Gari Local Government Executive Committee.
As of the time of filing this report, Bello has not revealed his next political destination or any future plans following his exit from the party.
