The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed the final fare for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage at N7 million per pilgrim, as preparations continue for the exercise.
The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, announced the fare during a press briefing in Kano, while also reaffirming August 25, 2026, as the deadline for registration by intending pilgrims from the state.
Matawalle urged intending pilgrims who have yet to submit their international passports to do so before the deadline, warning that failure to meet the requirement could cause delays and inconvenience.
He also called on all intending pilgrims and stakeholders to comply with the registration requirements and stated that the board remains committed to ensuring efficient services and a smooth Hajj operation.
