Katsina United player Ozor Chinedu has reportedly been found alive after he was initially declared dead following a collapse during a pre-season friendly against Niger Tornadoes.
According to reports, Chinedu was taken to a mortuary after the medical emergency. However, his hands were reportedly noticed shaking while he was at the facility, prompting officials to return him to the hospital for further treatment.
The player is reportedly currently receiving treatment and has been placed on oxygen.
The development comes after Katsina United earlier announced that Chinedu had died following the medical emergency during Tuesday’s match.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and further confirmation from the club, medical authorities or his family is still awaited.
