Kayode Oyekanmi is a Brand Communications Practitioner whose professional experience spans three decades. He has had requisite professional experience in both private and public sector organisations, including advertising and public relations.
His public service career as a communication and information management practitioner began about twenty-six years ago, with the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.
From where he was deployed to serve the then First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, OON, as a speechwriter and later as her manager of information and communication.
In the year 2007, Mr Oyekanmi was again deployed to serve as Press Secretary to the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, a position he held till the completion of the eight-year tenure of the Babatunde Raji Fashola administration in 2015.
He has served at several ministries, including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade, and Investment, among others.
Mr Olukayode Oyekanmi holds a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Education from Lagos State University. He has over the years attended professional, capacity-enhancing courses within and outside Nigeria.
An active member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Mr. Oyekanmi is a voracious reader and a passionate Lawn Tennis Player.
