The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced N7,882,822 as the final fare for intending pilgrims from the state seeking to perform the 2027 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The Board Secretary, AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin, disclosed this on Thursday while featuring on The Conversation, a live programme on Lagos Television (LTV).
Ajomagberin attributed the reduction in the 2027 Hajj fare compared with the previous year to the efforts of Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He commended the NAHCON chairman for his commitment to reducing the cost of Hajj and making the pilgrimage more seamless for Nigerian pilgrims.
According to Ajomagberin, the reduction reflects ongoing efforts to make the annual pilgrimage more affordable and accessible to intending pilgrims.
